The band, which consists of Milan Mentz (vocals), Lucas Knauer (guitar), Piet Kuchenbecker (guitar), Luca Mandel (bass), and Finn ter Heide (drums), was formed in 2017, while the members were still spending their last years of school together. Influenced by different genres and styles, muted have found their very own sound fusing 90’s grunge and alternative rock with more modern and progressive elements to create unique and versatile sounds with engaging lyrics, that tell introspective stories and express emotions right from the soul. The band’s mutual passion for a broad variety of musical genres, songwriting, and performing, is reflected in their sound as well as their live shows.
In August 2021, muted are giving the world a taste of their music with the release of their 4-track debut EP ‘Mirror’, featuring the same-titled single, as well as three new songs, giving listeners the chance to discover and enjoy the band’s musical diversity and creativity.
